Welcome !

794logoChristian Troop 794 has been chartered to Mission Hill Church since March 1, 1992.  We are a family oriented year-round troop that convenes on Thursday night. Being a large troop with an annual membership of 70 scouts, we consistently earn the National Gold Level Award of Excellence for our annual program, which includes: outings, community service, summer camp and high adventure. We specialize in climbing Colorado’s 14’ers and participate in the Triple Crown Award by attending the National High Adventure Bases including; Philmont, Sea Base, Northern Tier & The Summit. We strongly believe in trained leadership and promote scout participation at ILST, BigHorn NYLT, NAYLE, Okpik, Wilderness First Aid & Leave No Trace. To subsidize our outdoor programming we participate in the annual DAC fundraiser - Trails End Popcorn. 25% of scouts who join Troop 794 earn the rank of Eagle Scout.

Scouts that have registered to attend Summer Camp at PV this June need to select Merit Badge classes by April 7. Please print the attached 2016 MB Selection Sheet and the 2016 PV MB Offerings list. The MB Offerings list is an alphabetical rundown of all the classes available this summer. On the Offering list, Eagle Required MB's are in BOLD print and any MB that can be completed at camp has an (*) next to it's name.

There are 5 MB class periods a day, on the first line of the Selection Sheet please select 1 MB per class period (unless the MB requires 2 class periods). On the second and third lines I need alternate MB's in case your first choice is unavailable. The PV Program Guide is available if you have questions about individual MB's.

Please contact Mr. Gates asap with your rsvp, including your name, current rank and swim ability (i.e. have you easily passed the swim check in the past).

2016 Beeper Easter Egg Hunt

Posted on Mar 9 2016 - 11:19pm

On March 19th Telephone Pioneers International will be hosting visually impaired kids with a special "Beeper Easter egg hunt" and "Beeper Baseball". This is an opportunity for scouts to earn community service project hours for their next rank. We need 10 scouts and several adults volunteers to help with this project. We will rake several areas to make sure the ground is free of debris for the egg hunt/baseball game. We will help unload supplies and set up game/craft stations. Scouts can participate in games, craft projects and will be treated to burgers for lunch. This is an extremely fun event for all involved.
